  5. This is a beta version of nine Delphi components. This beta version is free
  6. and may be redistributed. If you distribute these components, you must include
  7. all files in this archive. You may not distribute or sell these components for
  8. profit, except as part of a larger compilation of "shareware" Delphi
  9. components, tools, examples, or source code.

  11. You are free to use these controls in any manner you see fit. THIS SOFTWARE
  12. IS NOT WARRANTIED IN ANY MANNER WHATSOEVER. YOU ASSUME ANY RISK THAT MAY BE

  15. This package will be sold as shareware in the near future. The registration
  16. fee will be in the $25.00 to $35.00 range. Full source code will be available
  17. for an additional small charge. There are nine components included in this
  18. archive : TFramedLabel, TLabel3D, TGraphicButton, TButton3D, TColoredButton,
  19. TCheckListBox, TTabComboBox, TTabListBox and TTabListHeader. The final version
  20. will include several more components.

  22. In this beta version, the components are not documented heavily.
  23. Experimentation, is the best way to find out what they can do. In general
  24. these components add no new events, and behave in the same manner, as the
  25. standard controls they descend from. The entire interface to these components
  26. can be understood by examining their properties.

  28. To install the components, add the unit CNTRLREG.PAS to your Delphi component
  29. palette. CNTRLREG.PAS contains a Register routine taht will install all
  30. components. If you desire, you may also install each component units
  31. individually. Each unit has an appropriate Register routine and the necessary
  32. individual DCR files are included in this archive.

  35. any enhancements. The first person to report any particular bug, will get a

  39. TFramedLabel is a TLabel component with a frame drawn around it.

  41.  property FrameColor - Color of the frame.
  42.  property TextOffset - Offset from the top of the frame to the text.
  43.  property ShowFrame - Toggles display of the frame.

  45. TLabel3D is a label that can be displayed with a raised, lower or shadowed
  46. 3D effect.

  48.   property TextStyle - 3D style of None, Raised, Lowered or Shadowed.
  49.   property ShadowOffset - Offset of the shadow for the shadowed style.
  50.   property ColorShadow - Color of the shadow for all styles.
  51.   property ColorHighlight - Color of the highlight for raised and lowered
  52.                             sytles only.

  54. TGraphicButton is the base class for TColoredButton and TButton3D. You may
  55. also use TGraphicButton to display any sort of graphical face. As implemented
  56. TGraphicButton displays nothing, not even a caption; however, It will call an
  57. event handler that you assign whenever the button face needs to be repainted.

  59.   property Style - The same as TBitBtn, New, AutoDetect, or Win31.
  60.   property OnDrawFace - Event you assign to be called for drawing the button
  61.                         face.

  63. TColoredButton is a button that supports multi-line captions and user defined
  64. colors.

  66.   property ColorBtnFace - Color of the button face.
  67.   property ColorBtnShadow - Color of the shadowed portions of the bevel.
  68.   property ColorBtnHiLight - Color of the highlighted portions of the bevel.
  69.   property BoldFocus - Toggles bolding (New stle only) of caption font on
  70.                        focus.
  71.   property Alignment - Centers, left or right justifies the caption text.

  73. TButton3D is a button with a 3D caption. TButton3D descends from TColoredButton
  74. so it also supports all the features of a TColoredButton including multi-line
  75. captions and color.

  83. TCheckListBox is a multi-select list box that draws check boxes to indicate
  84. the selected state of an item. You may supply you own pictures. The bottom
  85. left pixel in the bitmap is the transparent color used when the bitmap is
  86. displayed.

  88.   property GlyphChecked - The picture displayed for selected items.
  89.   property GlyphUnchecked - The picture displayed for unselected items.
  90.   property GlyphLeftMargin - Margin between glyph and left edge of list box.
  91.   property GlyphTopMargin - Margin between glyph and top of item draw area
  92.                             rectangle.
  93.   property TextLeftMargin - Left margin between glyph and item text.
  94.   property ShowFocusColor - Toggles display of focus color. It is strongly
  95.                             recommended that you leave this set to False.

  97. TTabComboBox is a combo box that supports display of column aligned text data.
  98. You just put a tab between column text before adding it to the combo box. You
  99. can even enter the tabs in the Items property editor by pressing Control-Tab.

  102.                     based. Column may be 0 to the total number of columns
  103.                     minus one. You only set the width for the first n - 1

  116. may attach a TTabListBox to a TTabListHeader. The TTabListHeader can be used
  117. to move and align the list box columns at design and run time.
